Louisville Chapter of the Red Cross responds to forest fires west of Bardstown in Nelson and Hardin Counties

On Saturday night Fire officials were working two forest fires west of Bardstown in Nelson and Hardin County, and another fire at Fort Knox. The Louisville Chapter of The Red Cross was called in to assist in providing food and beverages for the firefighters. This was my first experience of a forest fire. As we were heading south on I-65 we were able to see the burning in the distance. It was like an orange glow all over the ridge line. Here are a few photos from the scene.
