God bless the inventors of XM radio. It makes a long drive much less painful.

I just hate driving in the rain. I'm on my way to Montreat for a young adult weekend.

Life is so very busy right now

As you can tell life is very busy right now. So busy that I have not had any time to Blog. There has definitely been enough to write about. My work life is fully consumed in TheThoughtfulChristian.com. My focus has been shifted to that 100% at least for the next 6 months. Its been very exciting to be part of launching a brand new thing from the very beginning.

Gina is obsessed with this Chocolate contest they are having at The Presbyterian Center. Its an attempt to keep spirits high before they cut a lot of people. Gina is searching for the perfect Chocolate recipe. I think she nailed it last night with her latest Chocolate cake. Delicious!

This past Friday night I had a Red Cross call. There was a huge warehouse fire downtown. Here are a few photos from that.

I know I must not be the only person in this world who loves to pop bubble wrap. Here is a great opportunity to do this virtually. I love it!

Very Disappointed!

Two nights ago I had a Red Cross firecall. By the time my partner and I had arrived to provide assistance we found a family standing out in the dark and cold all alone. The Louisville fire and police department had left them. I've probably been on about a dozen of these calls now and never seen anything like this before. I was shocked that none of the officials thought about waiting with them. Especially since there were children involved. Now, I'm not just going to pin this on the fire and police department. Why couldn't a neighbor have invited them in. What ever happened to neighbors helping each other out. As you can tell the frustration is still very fresh. I feel like I need to write a letter like my grandfather would.
