Gas prices seem to go down a little and then up a lot. Then down again and up a whole lot more. I just filled up and was shocked.

Cop butchers National Anthem

I think we've all been at talent shows where a certain performer has just destroyed a song. Buddy, its the national anthem. Maybe you shouldn't have volunteered.

2006 Churchwide Gathering of Presbyterian Women

Yesterday was the kick off for the PW gathering here in Louisville. I've been working in the exhibit hall meeting and greeting the ladies. Its quite an interesting event full of interesting people. We're lucky to have a few friends in town that are serving on leadership at the gathering. Its been a lot of fun to visit with them.

I'm pretty sure that my new favorite show is The Chelsea Handler Show on the E Channel. Its one of the most random shows I've seen in a while. I would place it right along side with Campus ladies. Check it out when you have a chance.

I'm free, didn't get picked

On Thursday afternoon I was released from serving on that particular trial I mentioned a few days ago. From what I could figure out the trial is about a woman who died from complications related to chromes disease. It looks like my ticket out the door was being to emotionally connected with a family member that was severely effected by chromes. Its a good thing I was released. The trial is scheduled to run through the end of this month at the least. That would be at least a month our of work. I just can't imagine how any company could go without one of its member longer that the two week commitment. It's a lot to ask of anyone.

I got picked... :(

I've been selected in the initial jury pool for a case that is set to run through July 31st potentially. We have a break for about 15 minutes before the lawyers start asking questions and eliminating jurists. I can't be out of work for a month! Yikes! Maybe I will get cut.

Jury Duty, Day 2 - Sitting and waiting

I've entitled this posting sitting and waiting because that's all I've done so far. I arrived this morning bright early in order to get a good seat and grab something to eat. At 9:00am on the dot a staff person read off the first list of 13 jurors that had been selected for a case. The names were read and the individuals followed one of the sherrifs out of the room. About 30 minutes later that same women came back into the room and asked for our attention once again. She informed us she was about to read off a list of 40 jurors that would need to go with another sherriff. Once again I was in the clear. Gotta go, that woman is back.

The Bicycle Camera Mounts were a total success

Over the last few weeks I took a stab at selling these Bicycle Camera Mounts. I found instructions to make them a few months ago and the rest is history. I sold my first 8 in around a week. I've ordered more parts and made 35 more. You can find more information at http://www.buckspot.com or http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&item=200003840814
