RIP?

We just passed this house that has all those traditional halloween RIP headstones scattered all over the front yard. They had everything from RIP Tiny tim, Osama Bin Laden and even that crazy north korean Kim Jong. The picture isn't great but you get the idea.

Always use protection

I got a good laugh out of this advertisement for firefox.com that I found this evening. Firefox is the safe alternative to Internet Explorer. You should give firefox a chance.

TJ Max, good deals or krap?

This evening after the movies we stopped by tj max. After about 10 minutes I had one question on my mind. Is TJ Max full of great deals or krap? I wonder if the corporate folks actually think they present quality products? I wonder what its like to work for a company that pedels krap mixed in with a few good deals?

Lindsey Wilson College Singers

Last night Gina and I went to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary here in Louisville for a concert. One of our college kids from Central Presbyterian is now a freshman at Lindsey Wilson College. She is a member of their choir now. This is a picture from the Alumni Memorial Chapel.

Neon Cross

Neon Cross
Originally uploaded by Drewsyboy.
Here at Lake Junaluska there is a neon cross up on a hill. Here at the Terrace Hotel they have a TV channel dedicated to this cross. They have a camera that is pointing at it 24/7. This neon cross reminds me of some lyrics from a David Lamotte song called Butler Street. The song goes like this...

There's a neon cross on a mountain
Saying 'sinners best beware'
That means that somebody went to the trouble
To run power way up there
These mountains speak to my spirit
I guess it kind of blows my mind
To think that someone could look at the vista
And think God needs a neon sign

The old man asked me if I was saved
I turned to check his eyes
I didn't see any concern there
And it's sad that I wasn't surprised
No, he was just trying the secret handshake
Where you push until push comes to shove
His hands were deep in his pockets
And his eyes said nothing of love

Sing me a song about Jesus
But please don't sing about the poor
It’s already been a long day; I really don't want to hear anymore
Sing me a song about Jesus
That will make me feel happy inside
Sing me a song about forgiveness
That will make this lifestyle feel justified
Sing a song about Jesus

Ran into Jesus this morning
He was down on Butler Street
He was carrying his bedroll
He was standing in line for something to eat
He got splashed by the muddy water
When the shiny hubcaps rolled by
He brushed himself off and chuckled and looked over at me
And said, "hey, there but for the grace of God go I"

Sing me a song about Jesus
But please don't sing about the poor
It’s already been a long day; I really don't want to hear anymore
Sing me a song about Jesus
That will make me feel happy inside
Sing me a song about forgiveness
That will make this lifestyle feel justified
Sing a song about Jesus.

Male Restroom Etiquette

I can't tell you how many times I've wondered how I might improve upon my bathroom etiquette. This video is scary and funny all at once.
