Long line at Louisville Airport

I don't think I've flown on a Friday night in a long time. We had a pretty long security line. I'm off to D.C. for the weekend. I'm going to my best friend steves bachelor party. Don't let your mind wander too much. It should be a rated G weekend. Golf, dinner and watching b-ball games tomorrow night. By the way, I don't golf. Hopefully all those visits to the driving range in eatontown, nj and putt putt from time to time will pay off.

Kentucky already gets enough taxes from me

I'm constantly amazed by how many parts of my life are taxed. Yes, I'm talking about taxes. I was going through my sprint bill and was just shocked by the $5.01 that I pay in taxes for my cell service. Yes, Yes, I understand the purpose of taxes. I could even understand paying some taxes for services such as this, but 5 bucks? I don't even understand what some of this stuff means. I think they just make it up. Non-telecom, Lifeline surcharge, non-id surcharge? Where do these tax dollars go?

Leo Laporte in deep thought

On a daily basis I listen to podcasts of Leo Laporte, "The Tech Guy". Check him out when you have a chance at http://leoville.com/. He has a web cam in his recording studio. Today when I stopped by his website he looked like he was either having deep thoughts, a headache or about to tear his hair out. You decide.

I want my Studio 60 back!

What's the story NBC? You bumped Studio 60 so you could test The Black Donnellys. The test is over now! I've heard the ratings weren't any better then where Studio 60 left off. NBC, please give Studio 60 another chance. If I recall The West Wing didn't do all that well in its first season either. Pay attention to your own history. It's a hit!

2006 Montreat Youth Conferences Week Five does numa numa!

You gotta love it!

Harry Connick Jr. concert tonight

Gina and I are headed to the Louisville Palace tonight for a Harry Connick Jr.concert. This tour is celebrating his two new albums. "Oh, My NOLA" and "Chanson Du Vieux Carré" are Connick's love letters to New Orleans. It should be an incredible night.

It's Spring on Frankfort Ave.

Yesterday felt like the first day of spring. Gina and I were out driving around with the windows down and the sunroof open. It was perfect!

L.L. Bean duct tape, in the travel secion?

I was catching up on this past Sundays newspaper and found the most obscure article in the Travel section. It's entitled GADGETS & GIZMOS WHAT'S OUT THERE. The featured product is L.L. Bean duct tape. Very similar to the duct tape below. Why would you ever consider featuring duct tape as a gadget in the travel section. The Courier-Journal does some weird stuff.

Smutty romance novels

I have many memories of my grandmother reading these trashy romance novels with fabio lookalikes on the cover. When I pass them in the supermarket or CVS in this case I think of her. I'm pretty sure she still reads them from time to time.
