CBS fires Don Imus

CBS has fired Don Imus from his radio show. I'm honestly somewhat shocked. Is Don Imus really the worst?

Louisville makes list of Top 10 underrated U.S. cities

I was scanning the morning news on MSNBC.com and was pleased to find Louisville, KY listed as #5 in a list of Top 10 underrated U.S. cities. The article reads as follows...

5. Louisville
The Kentucky Derby may be its claim to fame, but the famous horse race isn't all Louisville has to offer. Nestled on the banks of the Ohio River, this Southern city has loads of small-town charm, a cosmopolitan riverfront district, a diverse art scene (thanks to the Kentucky Center for the Arts), and a growing foodie market with its own Restaurant Row. Sports lovers should make a stop at the Louisville Slugger Museum; thrill-seekers, take a ride on the world's longest stand up coaster at Kentucky Kingdom; and history lovers, sip mint juleps on a river cruise aboard the Belle of Louisville, a National Historic Landmark.

Magazines have taken over the world

Everytime I visit the huge Kroger in St. Matthews I can't help myself. I must visit the magazine aisle. Its an obsession. So many to choose from. With titles like World of Sudoku, Mother Earth News, Hooters, pilates style, Kentucky Game & Fish, civil war times and Simply BEADS how can you say no? I've finally got subscriptions to all of my favorites, like WIRED and Newswwek. What are you favorite magazines?
