Dad's in heaven surrounded by his people

Yesterday afternoon my father and brother arrived from Eatontown, NJ.  A little back story is necessary at this point.  During our travels to New Jersey a few weeks ago to be with my grandmother before she passed away we began to experience some car trouble.  We ended up needing some extensive transmission work down.  My parents offered us one of their cars so that we could return home to Louisville and get back to work.  I believe secretly my father saw it as an opportunity to drive my car back to Louisville just by chance the same week of The National Quartet Convention.  The National Quartet Convention (NQC) is an annual gathering of Southern Gospel quartets and musicians. It is currently held at Freedom Hall on the grounds of the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.  Upon arrival my dad sat and rested for about 30 minutes and then quickly departed.  He didn't want to miss one more minute of that event.  Like I said in the title, Dad's in heaven surrounded by his people.
