Where were you when you heard about the attacks on 9/11?

I was deeply sleeping when Kenneth Slifer who was visiting at the time woke me up and told me to come see what was happening in New York City. I had just moved to Louisville, Kentucky from New Jersey for a new job at The Presbyterian Center. I tried calling family for hours only getting busy signals. I think I finally got someone around lunch. I remember my mom telling me later that night about the smoke clouds that were drifting through the school playground 40 miles south on the jersey shore that afternoon. It feels like it only happened last year.
